Intermediate alloy is a kind of specialty alloy which is based on one metal matrix and then add one or more elementary substances into the metal matrix. The intermediate alloy is used to solve the problem that the elementary substance is easy to be damaged by burning, not easy to be fused in due to the high melting point and it is easy to segregate because of its large density. Or it is used to improve the performance of alloy as a type of functional material. Nb can improve the strength and hardness of nickel-base alloy and improve the plasticity and toughness of nickel-base alloy. Replacing niobium metal bar with vacuum NiNb alloy not only reduces the content of nitrogen and oxygen in casting high temperature alloy, but also achieves good effect of reducing the production cost. The melting point of vacuum NiNb alloy is only 1380 ℃, while the melting point of niobium bar is up to 2497 ℃.
